I ordered my computer a few days ago.  I went to Radio Shack and Best Buy this morning.  Got a 3-jack headphone splitter for it.  Still need to find some sort of (at least temporarily) neoprene case or something.  I'm going to Staples tomorrow to look for more goodies.

I dug up the yukon trail and the amazon trail the other day.  i never really got to play the oregon trail cause kids played it in class and i wasn't the assertive type who would demand a turn.  yukon is pretty awesome, goes pretty fast.  amazon is impossible.  i think i've finished that game once.  i also found roller coaster tycoon, i'm gonna start playing that again too.  But not the Sims cause the cheats ruined it for me.

I can't tell you how in love I am with my computer which I haven't seen in person yet.  I doubt you want to hear about it, so I'll spare you.  but if you do want to hear about it, let me know and i'll talk your ear off.  I've never been more excited about any purchase, ever.

on another note, chris is a grown up.  i'm so excited for him.  so much great excitement!

i feel like i should say more, but that's just me wanting to brag about my computer more.

i thiiink i kind of figured it out. maybe you have to go the right way in the river. maybe that's why i always get captured by tribes.

yeah Oregon and Yukon trail were pretty much my life when I was 9-12 years old.
I had memorized the little speech the guy gives at that place near the end, the place where you decided where you're going to dig... The speech starts like, "Well my friend, there are riches ALL AROUND YOU, some you may not see..." and I acted it out for my mom.

what the fuck I didn't even read the roller coaster tycoon part.
That game was all I played for a very very long time, I got so good and involved with it.
Then I started playing Sims and I got all the expansions, but eventually it got SO boring so I stopped. Sims 2 came out and I bought it and played it a lot. I never got the expansions but occasionally I'll play it because it's on my computer as like a guilty pleasure.
And Amazon Trail was too confusing so I never really got into it

is Sims 2 much different? I never really looked into it. All i have is sims hot date. it's alright. there's no point now cause you have all the money you want. plus i hate when i end up killing them. i could be playing for hours and then they'd die, either because boredom/curiosity had gotten the best of me (i wonder what happens when i take the ladder out of the pool?), or because they'd set fire to themselves. then i'd get all sad and would stop playing for weeks/months. bleeeehhhh. i like roller coaster tycoon because it's less emotionally involving for me. they get sick, but then they're better.

i like amazon trail, but it doesn't take long for me to get captured.

The Sims 2 is very very different and way more involving, you should look into it. Not only can you like zoom in really close in the 3D world, but the sims get pregnant and make babies that actually look like thier parents. You play like generations, it's fun occasionally.

Next time you're playing Roller Coaster tycoon build a steel roller coaster with one loop and a track pointing up, kind of like Montazuma's Revenge, then once it gets popular and people like it, set the launch speed to 60 and watch DEATH.

oh man i totally forgot all about the deaths on that one. i've seen the roller coaster death, as well as the weird carousel thing where it goes really fast and the music gets all crazy. then there was the time that i put the entertainer guy in the pool thing and he died. and the time i tried to set up a little civilization in the wilderness. but they didn't die.
